Jenny Taylor Cake Decorating and More

I have been baking for the last 35 years. I started off like most of you taking Wilton classes and decorating my cakes with buttercream...As the years passed and more techniques appeared I got interested and started practicing with Fondant.

 Six years ago my Mother became ill and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She elected to not have any treatment and let it take its course since her prognosis was not good. She was given 3 months, however she lived 9 months. It was a very bad time especially when you know whats coming, but her spirits were high and she hated to see me come from work and sit by her side everyday. So, she kicked me out of the room one day and said" go take a class  in cake decorating since you love it so much"...

I followed her advice and took my first gum paste class. We did a Rose (which happened to be her favorite flower)and when I brought it home she loved it and asked me to continue. I never stopped since then and after she passed it has become my peace..As you can imagine I love to teach the Rose class....

One year after she passed I retired from Delta Airlines, have dedicated myself to teach everything I know to others. My Mother spent her entire life giving to others and thought me, that was what God had sent us here for. So I continue learning so I can give to others. I created this web -site for my students and will be posting tips and information that will be useful to you...As you take classes with me and create your cakes and flowers please send them to me so I can include them in my site.
